For this piece I wanted to create a model that had both organic attributes and mechanical properties combined. I also wanted to construct something that utilized several different material properties. The outer housing was a rubberized plastic while the main inner pieces were constructed from metal. Additionally I wanted to build a construct that had a hinge where I could model both the outer shell as well as the inner workings.
